Cubase 11のスケールアシスタントは私的に活用してないのですが、MIDIノートを指定したスケールに合わせる機能と理解しております。
スケールの指定にはコードトラックも使えるのでコード進行から外れなくすることも大丈夫そですが、途中で転調や移調して境目をまたぐ際には工夫が要るかもです。

↑あたりが参考になるかもですが、スケール(「エディタースケール」の右欄)の一覧情報が見当たらなかったので画像を添付しておきますね。
Cubase 7から11への変更点はいろいろありますが、私的には安定性や操作性の向上の他、プラグインが増えたりするのが単純に嬉しかったです(^_^)
流行りの音楽ジャンル向けの機能強化も多かった印象ですが、残念だったのは32bitプラグインが使えなくなったことくらいでしょうか。
