お久しぶりです。283系「オーシャンアロー」に乗られたのですね。
この車両は1996年に登場し、既に25年が経過していますが、現代でも通用するデザインをしていると思います。
私もオーシャンアローに2回乗車したことがあり、いずれもグリーン車に乗りましたが、1号車1番の展望席ではありませんでした。
283系のグリーン車は、なんといっても、新宮方面行きの展望席に乗ったときにこそ、その真の魅力を体験できると思います。raichoさんが1号車1番A席に乗り、前面展望を体験されたことは、私としては羨ましい限りです。

Series 283, called "Ocean Allow", was debut in 1996, but it's sharp and stylish even now.
I have been on Ocean Allow two times.
At both of them I used Green Car reservation seats but I had no chance of getting a ticket of 1-A / 1-B / 1-C observation seats.
When you use Green Car of Ocean Allow, only 1-A / 1-B / 1-C observation seats (on trains going to Shirahama and Shingu) give us the most pleasant time.
Therefore I'm jealous that you exprienced a great time with 1-A which the most valuable seat of Ocean Allow.
